T & T Seafood in Edmonds. Ummm, Ummm. Here a family size serving of Hot & Sour Soup. Could make a meal of it but why, there’s so many other great things to eat. T & T is located next to the Ranch 99 Market at 224th and Hwy 99. We went Saturday night and the place was jumpin’. My friend Valerie has been looking for Chow Mein with Crispy Noodles and here you can get them. If you are looking for Great service and ambience forget about it, but the house is always crowded and that’s because the food is good and cheap. We had the sechuan Chicken and Chicken w/Chinese Mushroom. There is the fresh fish and shellfish, taken right out of the tank if you order it for dinner. This is an inexpensive and authentic Chinese Food experience. Give it a try. The link above will give you some other perspectives.

Market Stats Courtesy Alan Pope, originally uploaded by Jim Warner, Realtor.
Absorption Rates for combined single family homes and condos in snohomish county, Meaning the ratio of Listings for sale vs. the number of pending sales that occured in a given month are hovering around 12.7%. That means that if no more homes were to hit the market, we would have an 8 month supply of homes to sell. Price/condition/exposure have never been more important in getting your home sold. As for buying, probably the best opportunity for qualified buyers to acquire property in a generation. Be sure and give us a call if you know someone who needs some help.

My Friend James Lupori over at Kenmore Undressed once said to me “blogging makes you smarter”. I have to say, there really is something to that. While putting together the ROCS Alliance over the past few months, I have been using the Lynnwood Undressed site to demo the benefits of Blogging to other real estate agents, many who have joined the Undressed Network of Community Blogs. In doing so I haven’t spent much time actually blogging and I feel somewhat out of the loop about what’s been going on because of it. So as I climb back in the saddle, let’s see if I can at least touch on a few of the local happenings as we gear this site back up. Weather wise, after the usual July 4th chill a late start to summer weather finally kicked in and it has turned out to be a great Summer after all. This weekend the Taste of Edmonds is in full swing. Even with a little rain it remains my favorite summer festival locally. My Kids did have to ask me who the heck Edgar Winter is though. It is sad to see they knocked over the Jimbo’s Restaurant recently. It hadn’t been the same since ownership changed a few years back, but still, I had a lot of good meals there and my kids remember it very fondly. They always had the best cheesburger and fries around. We hang out more often now at the Maddox Grill up at 184th and Hwy 99. Rich and Sue Maddox are great hosts and Rich’s Homemade soups are the Bomb. While knocking down Jimbo’s they took out the Pizza Hut delivery store and the old China First as well. Pizza Hut has moved up near the Edmonds Community College at the Old Hoagy’s corner strip mall. China First, just gone. Where Jimbo’s was, word is a Home Depot may be blessing the corner of 196th and Hwy 99 accross from Albertson’s and Joe’s Sports. No one is talking at the City of Lynnwood though to confirm or deny. The Edmonds School District employees are heading back to work this week which means the kids will be back at it pretty quick as well. Funny, but we used to call this summer vacation. I haven’t noticed a lot of vacation in my kids schedule, just seems like one activity after another. I have noticed the football teams are working out a little more earnestly. Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale High School open the football season on September 5th. The new Lynnwood High School is really taking shape over near Martha Lake which has got to be exciting for everyone concerned over there. On the Real Estate front, despite what you hear in the press, things here continue to move along at a steady pace. The new housing bill passed into law promises to cause a little bump before we head into election season, so if you are needing to sell in the near future get your home priced right and in top condition and you will probably have the best chance to make something happen in the next two months. On the election front, we’ll have to grin and bare the constant political ads for awhile but even if you tune out the rhetoric, try to get yourself up to speed on the issues and vote your vote. It matters no matter which way you lean. I’ll be trying tokeep up by blogging a little more from now on. My primary goal with this post is to make locals famous so that anyone thinking about moving here can get a sense of what their new neighbors might be like. Hopefully me and my camera will see you around town real soon.

What a show the Chinese Olympic Commitee put on last night. My Wife Janis and I were pretty much stuck with our mouths wide open watching the spectacle. Hope you got a chance to catch the show
